It is already well informed that helmet is a must have item in racing. Many designs and standards have made the function to save head completely. Full face helmet provides the most protection against an impact, and also performs better at guarding the rider from the weather conditions. There is also flip up helmets which basically full-face helmets with the exception of a flip up front. These types of helmet allow the rider to open his helmet without taking it off. These helmets are still very safe options but generally provide slightly less protection over the full face due to being made of multiple parts

Open face helmet can be your choice because its protection capabilities for the head, but also the increased the visibility it provides over the flip up/full face helmets above.
